Let me walk you through the best Hanami spot we’ve found in Tokyo so far.
Where alcohol is banned and people are only allowed to enjoy the nature on its most magnificent cuteness – the sakura blossom. Welcome to Shinjuku Gyoen!
NTT DoCoMo Tower on the Left, Cocoon building (my fav!) on the right – Shinjuku’s High Rise.
Sakura petals cover the ground on a dream-like carpet.
Shiro (白) Sakura. Very special among the pink crowd.
Winter (冬) to the right…
…Spring (春) to the left!
Enjoying a the Sunday Brunch.
First steps on the grass
Barefoot, is best.
Spring has room for other shades, like deep burgundy.
…still, there’s nothing like the pinkish-white under the sun.
– thanks for capturing this beauty, so we all can enjoy it even after it has passed away.
Today it was well, one of those perfect days. Sun, walk, lovely lunch, fika with friends, another walk, along Meguro river, with some more sakura in the Saigoyama sunset. Homemade dinner, in warm company.
Life’s sweet, provided you have the sun & the people along with it. Enjoy it, as it lasts.
物の哀れ (mono no aware) – la belleza de lo efímero.
